The Green Party of the United States and its network sites provide information about the Green Party of the United States.

Local Green Party Organisations
The Green Party of the United States is an affiliation of State Parties. The data we obtain from State Parties has been collected by State & Local Parties directly and relates to any relationship or communications you have with a State or Local Party including meetings, events, local campaigns and correspondence.
Social Media
We also collect anonymised publicly available information from social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter, for example likes, shares, tweets and posts about the Green Party and it’s activities and campaigns. This information is provided to us by the third party social media platform.
What do we use your data for?
We use the data you provide us to communicate with our membership and supporters about party business, activities and campaigns. From time to time we will also communicate with you about fundraising campaigns we run in order to finance the operation of the party and/or support specific causes.
We use your data, including any voluntarily provided information, to choose which campaigns or Party activity we believe may be of interest to you. Our communications may be via US Postal Mail, Telephone, Email or Social Media.
Your address information (where provided) is used to identify the State Green Party in your area and may be used in an automated way to inform you of campaigns of local geographical relevance.
As a Political Party we use your expressed political opinions to information our campaigning including what issues we promote, how we contact you and what we say to you.

At this point in time, the Green Party of the United States uses one 3rd party service provider who maintains our online store and fulfills the orders placed there . Anonymized data is collected by analytics services such as google analytics.

Information Collection and Use
You may decide whether to proceed with any activity that requests personally identifiable information. If you do not wish to provide the requested information, however, you may not be able to complete the submission. We do not collect information from individuals under the age of 13. If you are under the age of 13, we ask that you do not submit any personal information through the Site. If we have specific knowledge that an individual under the age of 13 has submitted personally identifiable information to the Site, we will delete such information permanently and without notice.

Credit Card Information: If you use a credit card to make a donation, your name as it appears on the credit card, the credit card number, expiration date and billing address will be encrypted as it passes over the Internet. The Green Party of the United States does not record or keep your credit card information for online credit-card transactions; rather such information is simply passed through to our contracted payment processing vendor. The Green Party of the United States may access such information through the payment processing company, but does not do so except to process refunds or adjustments and to the extent necessary in the event of nonpayment or disputed payments.
Technical Support: If you request technical support, we will ask you for information necessary to assist you, such as your name, email address and information about your computer hardware, software, and the nature of the problem you are experiencing.
Sharing information with 3rd parties
We do not share or sell any user information with 3rd parties. Transfer of personal information does take place in the events of processing payments through payment gateways such as PayPal or Stripe. In the absence of recurring payments such transfer of information is initiated by users.
We reserve the right to disclose personal information, activities log under legal obligations to the legal, tax authorities within the preview of the law to assist with legal claims, identity theft protections, frauds.

All information gathered on the Site is stored and maintained in secure facilities. Updating information, deletion and downloading information
You may request a download of the personal information stored in our system by sending a note to office@gp.org. Likewise you may also request to have your account deleted. Make sure to use the email account used when making a donation or offering to volunteer. You are free to update your information at any time by sending a request to office@gp.org. Per your request, the Green Party of the United States will change your information; we may request evidence of your identity before doing so.
How long is personal information stored
The Green Party of the United States does not retain data longer than is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or as required by applicable laws or regulations. Transactional information (purchase record) is stored permanently for legal, audit and tax purposes. When an delete request is made and approved, the Green Party of the United States would remove all personal information from its all network sites, 3rd party services, newsletters or chat systems.
