On March 6, 2024, GPAX presented a webinar on the continuing and growing armed conflict in the Mideast. Speakers addressed the devastating toll of the assault on Gaza and the spread of the fighting to Yemen, Lebanon, Syria, and Iraq.

Vietnam to Ukraine: Lessons for the Peace Movement

On May 4, the anniversary of the Kent State killings, GPAX presented a webinar relating the experience of the Vietnam war to the contemporary struggles against U.S. wars. Speakers addressed the domestic turmoil of the Vietnam era; the human and ecological damage inflicted on Vietnam; and the U.S. government’s manipulation of public opinion. There was also a tribute to Daniel Ellsberg, the leaker of the Pentagon Papers, who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer.
